Welcome to Nystic 2.0

If you know me well then you know that I rarely finish personal projects completely. Nystic 2.0 was one of these projects. The actual work of developing Nystic 2.0 or N2 has been in the work for 2 years(the 2.0 has nothing to do with number of years), and the idea has floated around for longer. Above are best 3 of the 5 template designs for N2. If you look closely you can also see the logo progressions at the top. I can safely say that each design and accompanying content was worked for at least 10 hours each.
The release of N2 is a major step in the history of this website. We stated out as Nerd-it.com, but after 2 years switched to the current name, Nystic. Nystic was primarily a forum, but after a major database problem in which we lost all our users, we quickly transitioned to Nystic 1.5, which was a mix of a blog and a forum.
N2 is currently in open development, which basically means that our site will remain operational as we continue to add new and exciting features to the site. If you are having any problems with the new site, please visit our bug report center. If you have any suggestions, please visit our suggestion center.
Unlike the old Nystic 1.5, the new and improved Nystic 2.0 offers many more resources. Though nothing much has changed with the forum there have been major changes to the blog. The old blog’s post has been put into an archive, and the new blog takes on a diffrent approch to the posts. The new blog will be more of a personal focus on tech news, programming, web design, and blender.
Some of the new resources available on the Nystic site will be the popular Super3boy Blender Tutorials, which for the first time will be avaible for download in their orginal format. In addition we hope to be rolling out several services for blender, including a distrubuted rendering program and blender model repository.
In conclusion, I hope you enjoy the new Nystic 2.0!
